Laser Cutting, Profiling & CNC Machining
The company operates a range of Laser profiling machines as well as conventional heavy plate profiling equipment. A total of five lasers are run within the company, all the machines are Bystronic and range from 1.8Kw to 4.4 Kw. The bed sizes are either 3 metre x 1.5 metre or 2 metre x 4 metre allowing for a comprehensive range of plate sizes to be run.
A conventional profiling machine using an oxygen and propane mix is used to produce our requirements for heavy profiles. The profiling machine can produce parts up to and including 200mm in thickness.
Both the laser and the conventional profiling machines are programmed and nested using our own engineers. The Customer’s own data file in DXF format can be used or alternatively the company can draw up its own profiles using Autocad Mechanical Desktop Software.
A large range of CNC controlled machines are operated in support of the fabrication workshops and produce simple turned bosses right through to fully machined complex and heavy fabrications. The machines include CNC lathes, CNC vertical machining centres, CNC horizontal borers as well as conventional milling, drilling and grinding machines.
As with the lasers and conventional profiling machines all the equipment can be programmed off line through our engineering department.
The materials that are processed within the machining section are carbon steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
